Setting up a Digi on older TNCs

 


Ringo Ranger II Vertical at 35 feet used for UHF 444.050 repeater.
2 element beam at 22 feet for VHF.
 


Nice glimpse of the moon between the elements of the TH3JR.

The tower is 48 tall.
Ringo Ranger II vertical at 56 foot for VHF.
TH3JR Triband at 50 foot for 20m, 15m, and 10m HF.
Multiband (80m thru 10m) dipole at 40 foot for HF. Also works on 6m.
Dual band Diamond X50 at 40 foot for VHF Digi ( 144.390 ) and for UHF.
AEA Halo-6 at 32 foot for 6 meter SSB.

Added a 2 meter 11 element beam for SSB at 52 feet. Just above the TH3JR.


Yaesu FT530 handheld, rotor is a Yaesu G-400RC, Alinco DR-M06, Icom IC-245
Icom 2350 dual bander, Radio Shack HTX-10 and Yaesu 2400 on top shelf.

HF station is Kendwood TS520 with VFO520s and MFJ 949E tuner.
Radio Shack Pro2026 scanner and Ameritron RCS-8V remote coax switch.
Yaesu 897D with a LDG AT100Pro tuner.
APRS station is Kenwood 241a and KPC3 running as a Digi ( N0VEK-2).
 Under that is a Motorola Maxtrac VHF commercial.

The shack with the emergency power turned on.

Backup power configuration.
38AH battery for APRS digi and Maxtrac top left. 105AH marine for backup reserve top right.
 Two 38AH batteries for 72AH total for rest of radios.
Also visible is the KPC2 TNC for APRS digi and under that is the BuxCommCo Rascal for digital work.

Built from a couple Motorola Maxtrac UHF radios,
Motorola Duplexer, and NHRC-4 controller.
Maxtrac UHF added for linking ( not pictured ).
